HKEX Red Packet
Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEX) is a world-leading publicly traded stock exchange company. To commemorate the Chinese New Year as a celebration of its roots and culture, a collection of premium red packets were launched in 2021, starting a series that blends the company’s distinctive financial tone with Chinese tradition.
Capturing HKEX’s spirit of celebration and ongoing commitment to its founding values, the yearly designs interpret its stock code (0388) into graphics inspired by auspicious Chinese symbols. Appearing in four festive colours to match the number of digits in the stock code, the red packet designs are treated with special printing effects and packaged into highly finished box sets. The first set features firecrackers, a mark of happiness and good luck in Chinese culture.

Now in its second year of running, the 2022 red packet designs feature round-shaped hanging Chinese lanterns, which represent togetherness and wholesomeness. Available in festive colours such as red and yellow, the lanterns especially symbolise wealth, fame, prosperity, and of course, good luck.
